software question

What software will I need to do the following:

- Capture video from camcorder
- edit video, including adding music background
- Save for both PC playback and DVD playback

The software I have is as follows:

- Movie Maker 2
- Adobe Premier
- Pinnacle Studio

Is there anything else I will need (VirtualDub, codecs etc...???)

Since you own Pinnacle Studio 7.xx or higher you have almost everything you need.

With that you can import movies
either from harddisk or from camcorder,
you can also ad background music from
eg. a cd. and edit the movie. It provides scenedetection vieo title tools and a lot of digital effects.
It also allows you to transcode the edited movie to a dvd compliant video and audio stream.

What´s left is a DVD authoring tool
to create a dvd compliant filestructure.
Nero 5.5xx or better Nero 6 might serve you well.

But allow me a question!!
Since you own all of that software , you should already know that.

Or don´t you read manuals??

To answer your question...

Yes I do read manuals... When I have them. I do own all the software however I don't have manuals for them.

I am only new to digital imaging and have not actually used any of the software yet.
