recording from DVD to VCR

I have an Apex 3201 DVD player, how I have it hooked up is from the DVD it runs to my SHARP 4head VCR, to the Video IN. I am able to watch movies just fine but unable to record from DVD to VCR due to MAcrovision, is there anyway around this without me having to buy a new tv??
