I'm working on a French DVD (Brotherhood of the Wolf)...I converted the audio/video to an Xvid rip, which works find, and the subtitles as a separate srt file, which works fine when both the .avi and .srt file are in the same foldr (with vobsub installed).
What I want to be able to do now is to burn the subtitles into the .avi file. I downloaded submux to do that, and managed to successfully burn the subtitles into the file without a hitch...however, only the first 10-20 seconds of the audio track are burnt in, then it's complete silence. The size of the .avi file is reduced from the original audio/video .avi, which indicates that the audio hasn't been 'mixed' in.
DOes anyone know why this is happening, and what I can do about it?
Also, does Xiao Fang still own this site?
