hey , i use a pinnacle pctv rave pci tv capture card. When i record a file, it is saved in mpeg1 avi format.

when i capture , like 11 minutes TV, the file size is growing to 555 MB!!!


can use guyz give me a link of a tool to compress it??? thanks alot!!!!

MPEG-1 and .AVI are two different things. If you want to compress an .AVI file, download and install a DivX codec and VirtualDub (or one of its variants)...

i have wmplayer 9.0 and installed a divx 5.1 codec... when i open

my video file in virtual dub it says this....

try capturing ur video in simple avi format dont use any kind of compression.
also if ur pctv 's capturing is done via WDm drivers then u may try to capture directly frm virtual dub.
