    Capturing VHS software? any suggestions?

I want to start putting all my VHS Movies on DVD, I bought a Plextar ConvertX vidoe capture card to do this , I installed the software that came with it but now I can't record any of the tapes due to the fact that its copyrighted.

What kind of software can I use that will get around this? Easy is best also.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If the card manufacturer doesn't have a website and user forum, perhaps the accompanying software manufacturer does. It's appearant noone here uses your card...you need to talk with knowledgable users.

          .
What do you mean by you can't record because of the copyright? A VHS tape has no copyright protection (other than Macrovision) that I am aware of that prohibits capturing. I am not familiar with your card, does it have standard AV In availability? If so you should be able to used VirtualDub to capture the video.
