Help on how to change Divx into Mpeg2

    hi,
im tryin to convert Divx to mpeg2 so i can put them on cds and watch them on my ps2. Im using winmpeg to do this but when i convert a file there is a serious lag between the video and the sound. is there any tools to fix this? i have tried to use nan-dub but i found it v. difficult to use.... is there anything else i could try?
your help would be very much appreciated. oh and if someone else has already posted this i apologize as i have been staring at a comp screen all day and my eyes hurt when i now look at a screen

If TMPGenc will accept the file...and if the lag is constant and doesn't get worse toward the end of the video...you can adjust the audio gap by going to "settings">>"advanced">>"source range" and find the "audio correction" box. Adjustments are made in MSec...+ if audio before...- if after...(ie. if audio out by 1/4 sec after lips move correction=-250MSec). Render enough vid to pass an area of lip movement and abort to check what corrections are needed. If TMPGenc doesn't accept the file you probably need to convert audio format...it doesn't like LPCM audio.

Let me add some things here.

"is there any tools to fix this? i have tried to use nan-dub but i found it v. difficult to use...."

You can't use nandub for this purpose. nandub outputs only .avi files (no MPEG files).

"is there anything else i could try?"

TMPGEnc is a good and popular choice.
