    Help with TMPGenc

I am trying to Encode an AVI Movie to VCD.
Used Ulead Movie Maker (This crashes after about 2 Hours)
Then tried AVI2VCD and this took 15 Hours to encode 1 hour
(Working on a Athalon 850 with 256 Meg Ram)
By reading the forum TMPGenc seem the best but when I
try to open the AVI file an error message comes up
    "Can not open or Unsupported"
Is there any update patches I can add or do I have to convert
AVI file into another compressed Mode

    MoVie
Audio format MPEG Layer-3,56 kBit/s, 24,000 Hz, Stereo
    Video Format 352 x 288, 65875 Frames, 12.500 Frames/Sec, 44 KB/Sec, Unknown Format

    Thanks in Advance

Try loading it into VirtualDub. If VirtualDub accepts the file, from the "File" dropdown window, select "File Information". It should provide more meaningful information regarding the video codec that was used to create the file.

    Let us know of your success ;>}

      Thanks for the reply
      Went to VDChelp.com
I had to change to Environment settings to allow
      direct draw to 1
(Did not understand this at all but it works)

      Thanks for the help
