DVD portion ripping to other format

OK. I cant figure out how to do this. I Have the evangelion series on DVD and i want to selectively rip each episode from DVD and place each seperate episode seperately on a cd in .VOB format. I need to know which program can do this. And then i want to convert them to MPG so i can use them in Windows Movie maker that comes with XP. Thank you.

Hi there,
Perhaps i am missing something but why dont you rip the whole movie to MPEG and cut each series using TMPEGnc and put each seperate MPEG series on disc.
As to how to put each ep. on disc in VOB format i can't help sorry
