.AVI into DIVX tool ?

Hi everyone,

I'm doing some video editing at home, using various versions of Adobe Premiere.

A fully completed film is rendered in .AVI format. Usually, 20 minutes of film take about 9 gigas to be stored in my hard drive.

Since it's a horrible waste of space, I'm looking for a program which could convert these regular .AVI files into DIVX, therefore preserving the image and sound quality, but reducing them files' space.

Please let me know where I can download such tools.

Install the right codec (DivX3.11a or DivX4.11) then you can directly save as a divx-avi-file. To convert the big (uncompressed) avi to divx you can use VirtualDUB or nandub.
