    MPEG2 TS and AAC

    Hi!
I am looking for a forum on MPEG2 TS(Transport Stream) and AAC.
Please tell me where I can find it.

    Thanks.

As a regular user of PVAstrumento I've never heard of anyone doing anything with MPEG2 TS except convert it to PS for DVD compliance.
    What's AAC?
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

      Thanks for your reply, sfheath.
AAC is an Adio Codec. At least AAC is used for HDTV broadcast in Japan.

AAC decoder and filter are here.
What audio codec is used in EU or in UK for MPEG-2 TS broadcast ?

        P.S. sfheath,
I will try to convert MPEG-2 TS (HDTV AAC) broadcasted in Japan to PS with PVAstrumento.

          ReportVAstrumento

PVAstrumento generates erros when trying to load the Japanese MPEG-TS. I think that EU DVB is not compatible with Japanese standard. But I think difference is very small except for the audio.

aac stands for advanced audio coding and is maybe the best available audio format (for example apple uses it in its itunes music store)
its specified in the mpeg-2/4 standard

its also able to offer 5.1 sound at small bitrates with great quality

You don't think the errors might come from Japan being NTSC vs Europe's PAL?

HDTV is not NTSC. So I do not think it is the cause of the error.

I've been reading some good reports of VideoReDo for stream conversions Pjo.
Downloadable trial I believe at ftp://videoredo:videoredo@ftp.drdsystems.com/
