I just posted a message in newbies about my DVD-player ejecting, under davemon40. Have you seen this issue in any of the other forums?

Not seen this before m8 but usually with things like this its caused by conflict in your s/w if you have XP you can always try restore to an earlier date. hope this helps..-fatboy

          stupid question

Hello guys, I'm really new at this and this question might be a little stupid.

Do I need a DVD burner when using burnatonce or can I use my current CDRW-DVD burner/player. I don't know if this makes sence or if both of these devices are the same. I wanted to find this out before I started to invest in blank DVD-R's and find out later I need a DVD burner. If not, is there any program that can be used to shrink using a CDRW-DVD.

Thanks guys for any input you can give.

You need a DVD Burner to burn a DVD. If your stand-alone DVD Player that's connected to the TV will accept them (few Do), you can burn a VCD or SVCD on a CD using your current rig. The VCD and SVCD will play on your PC...so if you have a laptop with a TV out card you could use it to connect to a TV and play your VCD's and SVCD's...or even a drag and drop data file to CD.

              Thank you so much

Well I guess there's no other option but to purchase a DVD recorder. Thank you so much for the reply "rsquirell"

              Happy shrinking....
