Inverted colors while playing video files

Hi,

I am having trouble playing back video files on my computer. In most of cases the colors are inverted (in Media Player and Quick Time). In the Media Player it sometimes helps to go to Tools - Options - Performance - Advanced and set the Use YUV Flipping setting off. But with i.e. MPEG this wont help. Any chance somebody would know what this could be? I really hope so, 'cause I am getting desparate.

1) has this happened with only one MPEG, or several?

2) Have you created these MPEGs, or downloaded them?

1) The problem occured with all mpeg movies I have.
2) I did download them.

Sometimes the problem also occures with a divx movie, but then I can adjust the colors in Media Player, but with mpeg that won't work. It is almost like there is some illegal codec or something.

Unfortunately, you never know what you're going to get when you download someone else's creation.

If you install the FFDShow Filter, it MAY "cure what ails you"...
