DIVX screen capture

My friend asked me if there was an easy way to capture a screenshot from a divx movie. I tried using "print screen" on a movie I made and it worked just fine but for his format divx movie it didn't work correctly and didn't show up. I've very familiar with this problem. However, I thought I'd ask if any of you know any free programs on this site or anywhere that would allow him to do a screen capture from his divx movies.

If your friend wants to successfully capture using "Alt-PrintScreen", tell him to turn off hardware acceleration.

Otherwise, he can simply load the .AVI into VirtualDub, move the slider to the desired image and select "Copy to Clipboard"...

The excellent Media Player Classic has a "save image" feature:

It will save the current playing frame as bitmap (.bmp)
