"I converted MOV to MPG2 and the audio is quite good "

Where is the MOV file that you converted? Do you still have it saved or did you delete it?

Did you use one of the "Project Wizard" templates in TMPGEnc ("File" > "Project Wizard") when you converted the .MOV to mpeg? I would suggest using the VCD or SVCD (NTSC or PAL) template and follow the screens and try the conversion again.

The MOV files were the files which were originally created by the camera. I have kept them.

      I'll try a wizard.

I'm a bit confused. I took your statement "I converted MOV to MPG2 and the audio is quite good" as that you HAD successfully created an mpeg from the MOV in TMPGEnc. Did you in fact accomplish this?

Yes I did, but somehow I must have changed the default settings and can no longer do that. What I get now is video running through at high speed and audio is being saved as a wav file.

But what happened with the "SUCCESSFUL" first mpeg file that you converted from the MOV file? Your statement here seems to suggest that you tried to encode a second time.

This all looks OK except "Movie Info: 480 x 480 29.97 fps". This is the "Super Video CD" setting at NTSC not VCD, which is 352x240 at 29.97 fps.

I'll see if I can change that. When I try to play a file now it crashes WinAmp. (sigh)

Hmm - worked that time with the small file. Now I'll try a serious file.
