    depends what uwant if u want to store ur xvid to dvd-r that possible if u want to make dvd out of it thats allso possible but requires further stes.....
    Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

            or read here www.dvdrhelp.com. I use Mainconcept or Tmpgenc Plus to convert the avi to compliant mpeg2, Tmpgenc Dvd Author to make menu and necessary dvd files, Nero to burn. If using win2k or win xp you can burn with Tmpgenc dvd author.
