    Loosing Hard Drive Space

Once I have deleted my backup files from my hard drive and all of the contents have been sent to the recycle bin, or in some cases the file is too large to be sent to the recycle bin so it is just deleted, I lose the 4 or 5 gigs used for that particular project. If I keep this up I will be out of drive space in 6 months. How can I get the drive space back? Like i said, the backup has been deleted so the drive space should return, right?

Right, the space should return. A few posters have mentioned about the Norton protected recycle bin. If you have Norton installed did you empty the "Norton protected files" aswell?

Thanks so much for the quick response. These forums do serve a purpose. I checked the recycle bin and, yes the deleted folder is in there. Is there a way to delete just the folder instead of everything in the norton protected bin?

Within the Bin, right click on the folder then click delete.

Another question for any knowledgeable soul. I am using the free nero trial version, 6.3.1.10 and projects are backing up without incident but this version expires the 31 of May. I liked nero so much that I purchased nero 6 ultra edition from my friendly neighborhood best buy. Should there be a problem in using the just bought version? You know the old saying "If it aint broke don't fix it" Thanks ahead of time for the response.

Well….nothing is problem free. If problems occur and as long as you take the right methods to alleviate the problem everything should be fine.

Am I right in thinking all you need to do is input the serial number from your purchased copy into your demo and continue working?
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

You're right but for just a few dollars more you will have the cd as well. Thanks for the response.

^^^That doesn't make any sence. Why spend money on a CD when you could just DL them off the site?

Well, have you heard of this? Once I burn from Nero the carriage ejects the dvd then doesn't return. I have to restart the computer to make it reset. Have you heard of this? Thanks for your insight.

Although you purchased your copy of Nero, I would double check and ensure you do the latest update. The version of Nero 6 I bought about a month ago was version 6.0.0.17 or something like that and early versions of Nero 6 are well reknowned for being buggy. Do the update from nero.com.
