I am trying to edit existing divx movie. Basically what I'm trying to do is to insert audio into existing divx movie. I want for the original sound from the movie and new audio (EX: song) to overlap. Basicaly my question is there a software that can edit divx movies or do i need to first remove divx codec from avi clip and use a regular video editing software? What program can i use to remove divx codec from avi clip for movie editing? Thank You.

Neither virtualdub, nor vdubmod will allow multiple audio track overlay.
You would need to extract the existing audio. Load it into something like Goldwave or Soundforge. Add your overlay track, and mix the two, based on which one you want to hear more of (slightly louder than the other), then resample to your output desired setting (44.1khz for (S)VCD or 48khz for dvd) and save as .wav
Optional steps:
Re-encode the audio to mp2 in tmpgenc, and remux during authoring or encoding.Comment

It's not AC3 any more. You've saved it as .wav
What do you mean "regular" audio codec...there is no such thing.Comment
