    Movie Quality

    Hi all,

I just want to check about something. I converted a RM movie to AVI and MPEG so that I can burn in into a VCD or DVD format. But the quality of the movie in AVI and MPEG is so much worse than the RM. Is that normal? Does the quality of the movie worsen?

That would depend on what software and settings you used to perform the conversion(s)...

yes, i know of 2 tools (i forgot their names) that allow conversion from rm to avi, i have tried both, and they both degraded quality immensely.

I now stay away completely from rm files

        thank you setarip and ziadost.

setarip, i'm using EO. sometimes the quality is ok sometimes the quality is really bad. Do you know of any way to keep the quality in the better range?

As far as I know, EO is the best software available for conversion of RM files.

If you're dealing with downloaded RM files, sometimes "you get what you pay for"...
