Screen Capture - Nero Showtime

I'm trying to use the screen capture feature in Nero Showtime. I haven't had any problem capturing shots from "professional" .avi files (ones that came with Windows or downloaded), but I can't use the feature with homemade .avi files (from a digital camera). The camera icon on the Showtime interface and the menu both work with the pro files, but are greyed out with the homemade avi files.

Any suggestions?

Same problem on my end-- read the help PDF file --- while in the program, Ctrl C or right click to the options/configuration area --- and you should see two areas "video/general" -- go to the video area and unclick "hardware acceleration" and you should be good to go! In the help files, it says capture will not be enabled if the hardware acceleration is enabled....
