can you tell me what these files are

just used smart ripper and got several file types.

.VOB - dont really know what .vob stands for but Ive been able to convert these to .AVI with no problems.

.DV2
.IDX
.IFO
.LST
.IDX

are all of these the same as the .VOB file in which they too can be converted to .AVI

if so, would one of these make a smaller file size than the .AVI format.

finally, does anybody know what programs I can use to convert these as I do the .VOB files using DVD2AVI
