Quality is poor

Hi! I use nero 6 and dvdshrink, last version, when i backup a dvd on my hard disk, i use smooth or very smooth option and i delete all features. But with dvd like private ryan, when the compression is custom ratio at 61%, the quality is very poor. Is anybody know wath the problem?

it depends on the tv you are using also..the bigger the screen the more quality you will loss...using shrink in automatic compression is your best bet...61% and under for me and I use sometimes..I am using a 56 inch panasonic and the quality is fine for me...
