Runtime Error Trying to burn DVD with Nero

    Hello,

I have the latest versions of Nero installed and a reasonable spec PC, plenty of disc space, 2g processors, 512 memory. I've downloaded video from my Sony DV HC 40 camcorder and rendered the video with chapters and buttons etc. in Nerovision, part way thorugh burning the DVD I get the error below. Is there a definitive answer / fix or can you suggest some things I could try to resolve it.

BTW the DVD RW is a Samsung TS-H552B dual layer, although I'm trying to burn single layer.

BTW2 I have previously tried pinnacle 8 and unlead and managed to get the disc to burn but they could not be read by my DVD player, that's why I moved to Nero as I was told it was the dogs whatsits.

BTW3 I've contacted Nero and had no response from a human.

    Thanks,
    Mung

Runtime errors typically indicate a corrupted support (.DLL) file.

I'd suggest you UNinstall and then REinstall NERO...

Thanks for the reply. I got a reply from nero tech who said I should uninstall and run their registry cleaner and then reinstall. I've done the follwoing so far:

      - uninstalled nero
      - cleaned registry with RegScrubXP
      - Defragmented hard disc
      - Disc clean up

I'm about to re install Nero. I think I've given it every chance to work. Fingers crossed.

      Cheers,
      Simon

Have you previously successfully used this NERO software on this system?

I have now. Only just installed so I hadn't until last night when I burned a data disc OK, next I captured the video again and rather than splitting into scenes I burnt it at full writing speed "as is". It did it in 13 minutes without any problems. I think maybe the problem is when you split the video into loads of scenes and then do loads of menus etc. Perhaps too complicated.

              Cheers,
              Simon
