    Dual layer recognition from Nero6

I just bought a Verbatim double layer dvd+r and cant get it recognized by either nero6 or the dvd player/recorder on my pc. The device is a NEC DVDRW 3500AG with Nero Aspi layer installed and still dosent recocnize it as a 8.5GB disk. Any help?

What version of Nero do you use? 6.x.x.x?

According to http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters....ist=2#comments your media should be good.
I'd download DVDInfoPro and see if your burner will recognise the dual layer.
Is this the only DL brand you've tried?

Nero has an updated file on their website too, that updates your current version of nero to recognize DL burners. Might try that.
I have 6.3.125 and mine is fine.
The timeline/filesize bar at the bottom of the screen should stop just shy of 8250MB.

http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ is the website but it would appear the free version exprired in the 1st Feb!! Not sure if the download that is available is a trial.

On second thoughts, DVDDecrypter should analyse a blank to prove if the burner recognises the DL.
