    Help, Newbie here

    Ive just started burning dvds on to my hard drive usind DVDx, and i convert them using the codec DIV 4 and making it a AVI file so it can fit on to a cd, im using a Athlon computer, so i dont know whether that makes any difference, anyway when ive put it on the hard drive then i convert it to a blank cd, can i send the cd to a friend and they can watch it or do they need anything on thier computer to watch it.

    PS: anybody got any tips on making picture better without drastically changing the filesize, all help appreciated.

    Make sure to give them a copy of the DivX 4 codec to install on their system.

        "using the codec DIV 4"

        You'd apparently find it on your computer ;>}

            "YELLING" doesn't make you any more assertive - only more annoying.

            You are asking me where you can find something on your computer that you installed there. You've got to be kidding...

            To anyone else reading this, I guess even I have my limits.

              Didn't you or somebody (sharing computers?) else install that codec into the computer? You couldn't have encoded it using the codec if you haven't installed it.
