    VHS to DVD program

Purchased a card to capture a VHS movie. The movie I tried was in good shape but the program that come with the card yielded a mpeg file that was not good as far as LipSync goes. Is there a program you would recommend? Thanks.

    What card?
    What program?
    What settings?
Need to know what you use, and have tried, before recommending something.
Not all capture programs work with all cards/chipsets.
Not all capture cards/programs save files in the same compression/format.

"the card yielded a mpeg file that was not good as far as LipSync goes."

Open the mpeg file with "TMPGEnc". After you have loaded the mpeg file, click the "Setting" button at the bottom of the main dialog. Click on the "Advanced" tab and double-click on "Source Range". In that dialog at the bottom, there is an "Audio Gap Correct" window that will allow you to correct the audio by using a plus or minus value will correct the sync problem.
