error message, plz help

i am trying to burn the parole officer on to a cd from my hard drive using nero, its a AVI file, and the error message i keep getting is

IDE-CD R/RW 8x4x32
Could not perform EndTrack
Simulation failed at 8x (1,200 KB/S)

please tell me how to get round this

Try running the burner at a slower speed and disable simulation (aka. Choose Burn only).

Cool. Is the burner dying of old age? Does it seem to be 'coughing' up whenever it has to do any tasks, including reading a CD?

no its not, its a 1.4ghz pc and this is my first episode of using the burner for anything, can u tell what the problem is at all
