IFO file help

Can someone help me, I have ripped a DVD, and i want to know how can i make the IFO file into a AVI file so i can watch it.

You will need BOTH the ifo file and corresponding VOB files to be able to do that. As a beginner, you will find Flask suitable for the task.

yeh ive got all those files, will using flask to do this allow me to burn in on to a cd

Flask can only help you create an AVI file (Presumably DIvX-compressed) only. Once you have got the avi file done and are satisfied with the results, you use a burning program to burn the movie file onto a CD. Flask is not a burner program though.

Hi,

About any burning program that allows to burn individual files
will do.
Try the one you got when you bought you're hardware
(problably nero burning rom or adaptec)

Just use Flask to encode the video and try keep the filesize around 650-700MB (1 CD rip) or 1.3-1.4GB (2 CD rip). Once you're done there, you can burn the file using your burner program and if you still have a problem with burning, you can come back here again.

Just remember that you can burn the AVI file to CD and it will play on a computer only. If you want it to play in a stand alone DVD player then you need to convert the AVI file to VCD-Mpeg, and that's a whole other story!
