In tring to back up my dvd "The Passion of the Christ", no matter what I do I get a constant narators voice in playback. This movie has many subtitles. I have deactivated all sub picture stuff and nothing seems to matter. Any Ideas? Thanks.
Constant naration on the Passion

You took the wrong audio stream. You need to take the foreign language (Aramaic) as audio - that's the only language that it was filmed in - AND the English subtitles.
The English audio is simply the director's comments track.
Listen the the disk in DVD Shrink before doing the project.

Welcome to the Digital Video Forums of Digital Digest
"The English audio is simply the director's comments track."
This is an incorrect supposition. There is no "director's commentary" audiostream on "The Passion of the Christ" DVD.
There is, however, a very special "Audio Track for the Visually Impaired" - a very thoughtful addition by Mel Gibson that makes it possible for sightless or nearly sightless people to follow the story.
(The irony of your screenname and the DVD title in question is not overlooked ;>})Comment

LMAO. Audio commentary for visually impaired inserted at the directro's behest/directors' commentary - who cares?
The movie was quite anti-semetic if you ask me setarip. But Mel wanted it that way I guess. So King David's ID is hardly ironic IMHO.
