    Voice removal from DVD

    Hi,

Is there any software out there, that will, remove the voice from a small part of a DVD, but leave the music still playing.

What has happen is that an TV announcement has come in the middle of a film, I need to remove that!!!

    Thank you,
    Chris Sayer

there could be a way but, it wouldn't be worth the trouble.
rip the audio (or, just the part you want to edit), & then try running through the audio prog (can't recall the name/s) which lets you remove the vocals from an audio track, & then put/return the audio file (without the tv announcement). not an easy task (i've never done it)

I believe "Experi-Mentor" is thinking of either GoldWave or CoolEdit - but be advised that it may prove to be a daunting task...

            "putting in very mildly"

Not necessarily, now that I think about it. If I remember correctly, in Goldwave, you can select "Stereo" from one of the dropdown menus (either "Tools" or "Effects") - and select "Delete vocal"...

**Edit** Just checked. Fairly successful with the following in Goldwave (instead of the "Stereo" adjustment):

            Effects>>Filters>>Equalizer
            Set as follows:

            60Hz 0
            150Hz 0
            400Hz -24
            1,000Hz -24
            2,400Hz -24
            6,000Hz -24
            15,000Hz 0

              Hi Chris,

never used music morpher gold on 48khz wave sounds but give it a try 4 free. Just encode your ac3 using BeSweet/BeLight to wav and import and remove vocal.Save, re-encode to ac3 and mux.

Get Music Morpher Gold, the ultimate music editor and easy-to-use DJ, to help you remove or extract voice or music, edit music, mix, do DJ tasks, with newly-improved algorithms.

              good luck!
