Need MoRE MPG help...( Cutting )

Im trying everything in the book but I can't seem to solve this problem.

Original Problem. Have 2 MPG files that are too big for CD.
    (715 and 740).

Solution: Join both of them together and then cut into 3 equal
parts for a nice clean 3 set CDs.

Seems simple right? I used TMPG to join them together. But when i watched it to make sure it was ok..there were moments of stuttering. <sigh>. The problem only comes up when i seek forward or something...so i decided to avoid that alltogether. Problem averted.

Anyway, I used TMPG to cut the files...but it keeps locking and eventually crashing. DAmn. Ok, so use MPEG Scissor. Nope.
    nanoVCD? Squat.

Ok, here's the problem in a nutshell: ONE File....1.5GB MPG
    MUST BECOME

    3 Files....500mb each.

    What to do?

Don't be so sure your movies won't fit:

First have you actually tried to fit them on?? as a Video CD can take a lot more than a std data CD can on the same sized disk. This is because Video CD format does not use all the error checking that data cd does and can make use of the extra space.

Also the size shown on your hard drive will always be higher than the real size when burning to CD.

Use an 80min CD-R (i.e. 700mb), as I've burnt this size without fail with Video CD (overburn can also help).

Select "Preferences" from the "File" menu (top right) and click the "Expert Features" tab. There you go overburn. Best you read the manual/help on it first to get an idea of what it all does.
