Problems with VirtualDub, Flasmpeg and Xmpeg4

It is my goal to obtain self made divX videofilms on a CDrom I use Pinnacle Studio7,an Studio DC10 capture card and Hi8 videomaterial.
I do not want MPEG2 of studio7for divx conversion

First problem with VirtualDub, the sound in VirtualDub STUTTERS, whatever I try, the stuttering remains.

My system: WindowsME, Asus-A7V-133 mainboard, 512Mb Ram, Athlon-1-Ghz, 2 HD's in RAID0 (60Gb), one HD in IDE (40Gb), The programs are on the IDE HD.
Soundblaster and 3DForce2-MX-Series,NVIDIA-GeForce2-MX-100/200-(Ver-1.2.4.1,05/16/2001)-64Mb
Windows is used in videomode, USB and network disabled.

Second closing Flaskmpeg, error message: Flaskmpeg has caused an error in Kernel32 and Flakmpeg will be closed. The message remains, one has to restart computer.

Third At installing Xmpeg4.31. During search for installed components I get an error message saying Xmpeg4 has caused an error in GLC8340.TMP, Xmpeg 4 will now be closed So Xmpeg 4 is not to be installed.

Use this version of Flask and you won't get the error.

I did as suggested and
Flaskmpeg can now be closed without error messages, thanks a lot.
Maybe someone has also a good advise on the intermittent sound produced by VirtualDub
