Can I burn more than one thing onto a single dvd?

I can only open one back-up file at a time -- I would like to combine data from 2 different files (a full-length movie and an animated short film) onto the same dvd -- is this possible?

Welcome to the Digital Video Forums of Digital Digest!

Yes, by using DVD Shrink in "Re-author" mode. But you'll lose the active menu(s) if that's all you do...

(As an alternative, you could use [COMMERCIAL] DVD2One)

            Aha!

I didn't fully understand everything you were explaining, as I am rather low-tech, but the 'reauthoring' clicked with me. I went back and opened each file (individually), but realized I had, in fact, already reauthored each selection before I saved it.

BUT that led to a new discovery that solved my problem ... I had been trying to open the back-up files by clicking on the FILE tab and selecting OPEN from the drop down menu. When I clicked on 'Re-author' a directory window appeared under a 'Dvd Browser' tab next to the 'Compression Settings' in the far right column. When I highlighted and opened the files from there, they opened in the 'Dvd Browser' window and then I was able to move them both over to the 'DVD Structure' side, and continue the normal burning process. It worked! I got the two things both burned onto the same dvd!

Thanks for your great help and super speedy reply !!!!
