Error Message

When I try the "open disc" feature on DVD shrink it starts to analyze but only gets to 14% before it keeps retrying. After the 20th retry it kicks an error back to me saying:

Data Error (Cyclic Reduntancy Check)

Does anyone know what that means, and why its doing this?
