Audio Lags Picture- What to do?

I am converting my family camcorder videos (hi8) to burn to a dvd for future viewing. Seems to go well with capture and burn , but when I watch the burned DVD the audio portion seems like it has a delay. Actually reminds me of those old Japanese horror movies where all audio was out of sync, What steps do I need to do to remedy this problem. Thanks

play the video at each step you are doing ie after capture to hard drvie, after converting, after editing (if doing so) and after authoring before burning. this will allow you to see at what step you are getting the problem

Sometimes the audio getting asynch. has to do with not having enough CPU processing power, so I hope you don't have an old 500 MHz CPU.

      Regards,

P.S. You may be dropping frames which will allow the A/V to become asynch.
