    Framerate Problems

    Hello,

I am a newbie and this is my first time here. I recently purchased a Pinnacle PCTV USB2.0 video capture equipment and so far I am not able to see the frames at regular view. They are too slow. However, when I press record the frame movement is normal. Any suggestions? I do not see where to adjust the frame rate.

    Can anyone help?

might be that your processor is getting crushed by the program. I had a similar problem with a video capture program and it took a better system to handle the demands of the prog. check into the specs on you machine, if you got les than 128 vid/ 512 RAM and 1.5 procthen your going to suffer in the land of video editing. I spent 3k in Hardware just to keep up. so worth it though....good luck

You Pinnacle viedo capture mos work with 1.5hz processor, 512mb RAM and a 64mb video card. If doesen't you can change you monitor resolution to 16 bits, not use 24 or 32, the final archive it's gona have 24 anyway. Can change the video capture format too. For example if you are capturing 640x480, reduces to 320x240, generaly that solves the problem.

If this don't work, you have to check the setup section on your PC and cancel every PNP not necesary function (like reduce de number of USB asigned), check de AGP section in setup to and reduces the gate to 32Mb (because your video card have own memory) and disable de AGP pharses (always in AGP section of setup).

If any of these works, contact you saler and ask for tecnical assistance.

      Good luck
