I now have m2v and an mp2 file. Combine?

I have recorded a show from a DVB board and it records in .ts format. I used Project-X to demux it into 2 files.

m2v file - which is video only
mp2 file - which is audio only.

here's the stupid question (and I apologize up front). Im a total NOOB.

how do I combine these files into a format that can play both the audio and video at the same time?

click "add file", find your m2v file, when that window opens up, you will see it has no audio, "click" "browse" and load your mp2 in there. now you can make menu's etc.

or, you could use "mpeg tools" that comes with any version of "tmpgenc mpeg editor".

just to follow up, use the second fine suggestion if you wish to only play this back on a pc for example, if you want it on a dvd use the first suggestion

I was gonna suggest muxman, but didn't think (the free version 0.14g) could read .mp2 audio:

Audio:

* AC3 - 48K sampling rate, any bitrate, any channel configuration.
* DTS - 48K sampling rate, 768Kbps or 1536Kbps, 5.1 channels.
* mpeg-1 layer II 48K sampling rate, 1 or 2 channels, any bitrate, or 3 to 6 channels with extension.
* LPCM - 48K or 96K sampling rate, 16/20/24-bit 1 to 8 channels as allowed.
