      "Nero version: 6.6.0.1"
Update your Nero, its free. Go here and download "Update-Pacage 1": http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php

      "CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off
      CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 1 DMA: Off
      CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 2 DMA: Off"
Check your DMA settings - How ? do this -> Go to Control Panel> System> Hardware Tab> Device Manager> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers> Right Click Primary IDE channel (and Secondary IDE channel after you finish with Primary)> Properties> Advanced Settings Tab> Transfer Mode or go here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616

Do the above from both "Primary & Secondary IDE channels".

I (We) and you need to look at whats in both "Transfer Mode" and "Current Transfer Mode". Screen shot below is what I'm talking about.

If it is in "PIO" mode. Click the "Driver" tab, and uninstall the driver. Then reboot. Upon rebooting windows will automatically reinstall the driver and it should go back to "DMA" mode.

(Your screen may or may not look the same as my screen shots)

      "Physical memory : 502MB (515052kB)
      Free physical memory: 100MB (103048kB)
      Memory in use : 79 %"
Free up some system memory. All of those icons next to your PC clock, right click on them and exit.

What brand of media are you trying to burn to?

Use a better brand such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Ever occur to you why they might be on sale?

"Not Applicable" just means there is nothing connected to that IDE channel. That is fine.

Good, thanks that kinda scared me. I thought it didn't pick up it was connected or something.

So really the only thing you see could be the problem is the discs?

It will only allow me to install the Demo version, then tells me the Demo version has expired so I'm stuck with the version I have.

Do I have to have the update or is it mainly just my discs?

                  I think its both.

And don't forget about freeing up some system memory.

Yea, I'm workin on the memory now. Settin programs up not to run on start up and whatnot.

Thanks though, I'll work on gettin new discs.

Do stores take back DVD+Rs? I bought 100, none of them really worked so I can return them all.

When I used to buy mine at Best Buy etc., I would take bake spindles I had often.
