DVD converting for online publication (deadline appraoching, im flummoxed!! Pls Help)
Hi there, i know from looking around this board that you are looking at a lot more challenging problems than converting DVD to WMV, but im totally head-wrecked by it at the moment.
Basically we have our next issue of our mag (www.queeporganicmusic.com) coming next tuesday (Oct 4th) and we have a music video that needs to go up on it, and I have tried about 10 programs with no success before. Ive been on it for the past 16 hours... and its killing me at this stage.
We want to convert the file to WMV and REAL PLAYER VID too if possible, and the files should be iunder 10MB if possible. This seems to be the most effective way to feature videos on our site. On the DVD is just one VOB file and it is about 700MB, though this seems to include all 4 videos that are on the DVD (all in a row), and no program i have tried so far has split it into seperate videos. pls could someone recommend a program that will do it simply for us.
The DVD is a promotional one, given to us by their managment company, so it must be copyrighted, would this cause a problem?
We run the site/mag on a non-profit basis, so we cant afford to pay for software, and would probably only need to use it once anyhows, just for this video, as we should get the rest sent to us. This is a very important video for us (check out www.roll-deep.com to hear the track) so we need to sort it asap.... not to mention that it is holding us up working on other features that also need to be done.
so any help/advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated,
