    windows barely naked and codecs

Greetings. I am curious if anyone has been using windows xp barely naked. Great modification, but it is devoid of all video playback. It seems no matter how carefully I add necessary codecs, i get a considerable handful of videos that simply will not play, and usually result in locking up my system. I've tried keeping it simple as possible, adding only ffdshow and divx, but still too many videos are unplayable. Any suggestions? Thank you!

AFAIK 'barely naked' is a stripped down ( ) version of windows where un-essential components are removed, including wmp, so its not really meant for video playback i think. why not use something like 'nlite' (after a regular windows installation) to remove windows components you don't like?

but, you might like to try using 'VLC media player', it runs on its own codecs...
