    1) Load the .AVI into VirtualDub

From under the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

Post (here) EVERYTHING listed (audio and video information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

    2) What settings did you use (audio and video) under TMPGEnc?

If the audio is at 48,000, this is one possible cause of the problem.

hi dont know how to send pic image so il give you as much info as poss clip is showtime, framerate is 12.500fps
      audio stream-sampling rate is-24000hz.
so i do virtual-change audio to 44100hz -then no compression. then save wave. when thats done i click off it and go to tmpg open file click audio find saved wave then load template my case vcd pal then click advanced change to 4.3 625 pal then i keep it at centre keep aspect racio. leave rest as it is non interlaced.
set quality to normal then click start.
i know im going wrong somewere cause my m8 does vcd and his come straight on on my player but mine dont a menu pops up of the film and i have to scroll across to it and press play but he wont show me how he does it ,some m8 anyway thanks for your time i hope you can help me not having much joy elsewere.
i have tried various settings on tmpg ticked the soften noise block
altered colour settings but to no avail thanks chelly.

        "framerate is 12.500fps"

I'm just guessing here but, since the standard framerate for PAL is 25fps, this is probably the cause of the "robotic" motion...
