Newbie ... Philips TV advanced controls ..??

    Hi,

I have a Philips TV (PT4428) and would like to know if anyone knows the "secret codes" for adjusting the vertical and/or horizontal positioning...

A technician had once done some changes w.r.t the Cable signal .. and now when I playback my DVDs .. some part of the screen seems to be lost !!!

    TIA.

You have to get into the service mode of the TV using a set of keys on the Remote. Google it for your ,model of TV.

But I strongly warn you of its consequences, if not done properly and can render your TV unworkable and pay hefty amount for reflashing the set.

The navigation of the service mode is also not easy.

if you try to do it yourself, note down each and evry value on a pad before you start changing it.

I did Google it .. found out the exact model - 25PT4428/94R ..yet the sequence codes given "0,6,2,5,9,6" ..and its variants "0,1,6,2,5,9,6" .. "0,1,1,1,6,2,5,9,6" et al.. don't seem to work !!

Is there some jumper setting inside the TV that needs to be "shorted" .. if yes .. then THAT'S something I'm not going to try !!

      TIA.
