Newbie User Needs DVD Burning Help

I have just joined the dvd burning revolution after many years with cd burning.

I have the relevant programs required to do what is required (thanks bro!!!)

The assistance I require is, I currently have some .WMV files on my pc that I would like to burn to a dvd (more space to put more on)

How do I go about burning these .WMV files to dvd?

Btw I am using Nero 6.0 (i think)

Please help me.

ok, ive downloaded Avi2Dvd_Setup_043.exe

now, to convert wmv to a dvd format, what is the best option to use?

do i just convert it to a normal dvd format?

Sorry if I seem silly with my questions. It is all very new to me and I will be honest and say I havent got a clue. I havent gone through the process yet. I have downloaded Avi2Dvd_Setup_043.exe and will use that and the guide you gave me to attempt to put my wmv file onto dvd.

Having seen the screens, you are right in that I have to choose DVD or SVCD (DVD in my case), and that for Step 3 I need to use HCEnc and Best.

Once I have created all the relevant files and converted my wmv file, what file do I need to select in Nero to burn it to the dvd? Do I use the filename that has been created with the "iso" extension?

Its the next step of what options i need to choose once Im in Nero, as I have never used it before!!!! (im such a pain!!)
