    Still confused

Ok, I read some of the articles on the basics, but I think I need more specific info. I'm trying to make a DVD compilation from different source material.

First: I reauthored a DVD and created a backup of specific scenes using DVDshrink. This file is VOB and is located in it's own file folder titled VIDEO_TS.

Second: I used TMPG Encoder to convert a video clip to mpeg format - under properties it says it's a .mpg file?

Now, what is the next step? Do I need to convert the mpg file to avi using VirtualDubMod or do I reauthor? If so, which program?

    Thanks for the help.

Next step is to convert mpeg file into vob files. To do this you need a dvd authoring software, like TMPGEnc DVD Author.

After you have vob files you can create your compilation with shrink or with TMPGEnc itself. This latter allow you also to create menus
