navigator issues?

I recently installed a new dvd burner. When I try to play a dvd movie using nero's showtime I get an error message stating showtime can't play selected movie please close all programs trying to access movie and try again. There are no other programs trying to play the movie. I installed interactuall player from the dvd I was trying to play and it gives an error message that I do not have a dvd navigator. As you can probably tell I am a newbie and don't have a clue. Please help. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I tried it but it didn't help. I will try nero's customer service and see if they have a fix. Also I will keep an eye on this thread. Any help I can get will be most appreciated.
