Primary IDE channel showing ultra DMA mode 2 and secondary IDE channel showing ultra DMA mode 4.
Primary channel is my hard drives and is capable of mode 5 while secondary is my optical drives so why are they the wrong way around? Surely the hard drive setting should be the higher of the two!
I have uninstalled both channels and rebooted but still get same readings.
I have been having a lot of problems playing DVDs and feel that this could be the cause. Any suggestions as to how I can change these settings? I have already tried one regedit suggestion posted on this site without success.
