I'm having a color problem with DVDs that I am making. My daughter's dance team wears bright blue outfits and are dancing against a green backdrop. The color looks great when I download it and play it on the computer, but when I burn it onto a DVD, the blue becomes green when played on a DVD player. When I play the DVD on the computer, the color is fine. Can anyone give me an idea as to why the color looks OK on the computer, but blue becomes green when played on a DVD player? I have used different programs to capture the video, used different formats, I have used different applications to create and burn the DVD, including using TMPGenc.exe to encode the files to MPEG before creating the DVD. I have tried differerent brands of blank DVDs, -R, +R, single layer, double layer, you name it. Everything comes out the same. The DVDs look great when played on the computer, but the bright blue outfits become bright green when played on a DVD player - and yes, I have played the DVDs on 3 different DVD players hooked to 3 different TVS. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It must have something to do with your settings ,is the DVD player set to output in RGB ?? if it is change to Video mode and this might help.
Are u using any region 1 material as this knocks the colour out also.
Finally if all fails change your scart lead for a fully wired one. -
You were correct - the problem was not with my DVDs after all. I changed the cables between my DVD player and my big screen TV and the problem went away. The problem with the 2nd TV was a setup issue. The third TV I haven't tried to fix yet, but since it works on the other 2 I'm no longer worried.
Thanks for the help.Comment
