no sound :(

ok im not really smart with computers, but im using DVD shrink, and ive already burnt the dvds, but i keep the files on my computer anyway in case i want to watch them again later without putting the disc in. so last night i watched a movie on my computer, and everything was working fine. when that movie finished, it wasnt very late so i watched another, the picture was fine, but there was no sound and i have no idea what to do. using the least computer terminology, how do i get the sound to work for the movies again? now no sound is working for any of them, even the one i watched that was fine before.

Do you not have sound on the entire PC or just for the DVD?

its not actually a disc, its the files that i kept on my computer. but its not the PC, just the DVD that wasnt working. however i turned my computer on this morning and checked and for some reason the sound started working again. i dont know what i did but it fixed itself. thanks anyway
