    powerdvd immapi version incorrect?

Hi can anyone please help, i have got a new computer and i am just getting to grips with it. When i try to play a dvd it comes up with "immapi version incorrect"; i have tried to download the windows xp patch from cyberlink but that does not alter anything. The download says that it cannot find powerdvd on my machine? now i am really lost. I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall, several times. My sound card is a 64mb nvidia geforce vc ti200, not sure if putting that information down helps. I only get my computer at the begining of March with powerdvd. Thanks

You might want to try to run PowerDVD in compatibility mode. I think however, that PowerDVD Windows XP version should be out. Alternatively, try another dvd player such as WinDVD.

Batman, same thing happened to me after installing Rockwell RSLogix software. Think back to some program or software you loaded just before you started getting the IMMAPI error. IMMAPI.dll has been replaced by another program with a different version than PowerDVD needs. You will have to uninstall the offending program and hopefully it will automatically restore your original IMMAPI.dll file.
