hi folks
i didn't find anything on this topic, so i hope someone in here can help me:
i got that problem that i ripped a dvd using DVD2AVI, VFAPI and VirtualDub.
it went down like this:
.vob -->DVD2AVI-->.d2v-->VFAPI-->.avi
.vob-->GRAPHEDIT-->.wav
then i joined the wav and the avi file, compressing the wave-file with the mp3 codec.
because i ripped only 6 minutes of the dvd, the final file with sound is 4MB - which is pretty small as i thougt...
my question now is:
can't i somehow record a "fake-dvd" .vob-file from my VCR and then "rip" it using dvd2avi and vfapi???
this would get it much smaller, because just recording from the VCR and compressing with DivX 4.11 makes a 12 second avi more than 2.5 megs large ...
if this stuff up there cant be understood please tell me so - else: pleeeeeeaaase heeeelp!
