MICROSTAR DR4-A (MSI MS-8404A, ATAPI DVD DUAL 4XMax) (aka OPTORITE DD0201)
Currently D Series RPC1 firmwares based on 2.50D, and 2.60D.
    right below it try this
    too many versions!

go to my computer, a drive, right click format, make startup disk, add files to disk
    boot to floppy follow directions
    good luck

right it says select a file
(Apu comes back to his store after closing it down for 5 minutes – Hans is waiting) Hans Moleman: You cost me 5 minutes of my life and I want them back!
      Apu: I am sorry, sir.
Hans Moleman: Never mind, I would have just wasted them anyway.

you have to do it in pure dos after booting to that startup floppy, what a drag

Note: You should not update your firmware unless you have
have flash experience with your optical drive.
at this point the best thing might be to take a large hammer and beat crap out of it
